All Things Foodie

Cafe Zest Update

Café Zest is unfortunately unable to meet as a group at the moment, but that isn’t stopping everyone from coming together anyway! Natalie now hosts our Café Zest Zoom group on a Wednesday evening and we have a group chat so young people can stay connected throughout the week as well as meeting virtually once per week. Natalie has hosted Bingo evenings, pub quizzes and virtual walks!

Cooking & Baking

Usually we cook once per week at Café Zest with young people and mentors often teach their mentee’s in their homes but this isn’t able to happen at the moment so we’ve tried to adapt the way in which we do this.

Natalie, Niki, and Fiona are now delivering weekly cooking and baking sessions for young people to join in at home through Zoom. As we are able to still drop essentials off for people in need, we are able to also deliver the ingredients for our cooking sessions so every young person is able to join in if they wish, despite any financial difficulties this time may be presenting.

Additionally, those mentors that would usually be cooking with their mentee and some newbies have also made the jump online and are doing one on one sessions too! Take a look below at some of the fabulous dishes we have made together!
