Another busy one....
What a busy month we have had at Pure Insight.....
We held an open evening in Cheshire East. It is always a wonderful thing to meet people who want to give their time to supporting young people. We love our volunteer mentors (and all prospective mentors).
We started another training group at Cheshire East and Trafford (when do our ladies sleep!).
Jenny as always is thrilled to meet you all:
'Wonderful evening meeting some amazing people in #cheshire committed to making a difference in a local young person's life. Training starts Monday 18th March. If your interested please get in touch #mentoring #careleavers #Belonging #connection'
'Looking forward to meeting another group of amazing human beings on Wednesday evening in #Trafford who have committed to supporting local #Careleavers in their community to #thrivenotjustsurvive #Volunteer #Mentor #training #believe #careleaverspotential @pureinsight1628
We attended the World Social Work day with our Stockport Care Leaver family. Some of our young mums delivered a talk to over 120 social workers.....
Fi shouted about our young mums achievements:
Just wanted to say thank you to our amazing Mum's that gave feedback on their personal experiences and delivered to over 120 social workers at Stockport social Worker conference today!!
I'm so proud to work with such inspirational young ladies and their little ones and I'm even prouder that you have used your negative experiences to improve the lives of future young people 💪
Go'warn ladies!! 😆'
Janine setup a few Easter egg hunts:
Were you one of the lucky ones who found a ticket?
Our young people helped review the 'Care Leavers Local Offers Website'. All changes are considered and the website has changed so much, all because you took the time out to let our #stockportfamily know what you wanted to see:
Our Janine and a few of our young people attended a yoga retreat over a weekend. This is the second time we have been lucky enough to be gifted tickets. To say the experience is life changing for our young people would really be an understatement. Our young people (and everyone at the retreat) experienced and achieved things they didn't think they ever could - including fire walking, bending steel, yoga, having the opportunity to tell their story in a safe environment.
These really are just some of the things the whole team have been up to. If you are interested in volunteering with us then we have an open evening in Stockport on the 2nd of April. Why not come along to meet with us.
