Christmas with Pure Insight
For all of those who know us here at Pure Insight, you will know that we start planning for Christmas Day months ahead of December. This BLOG gives you a flavour of the work that goes into planning and holding just one day. We will share more on our Christmas Day dinner over the coming weeks.
Tuesday 3rd December:
Christmas presents have started to arrive thick and fast! How lucky are we to be supported by such amazing, kind hearted friends of Insight!! Each year we post an Amazon wish list of items that we feel young people would like to receive and we are always inundated with packages arriving throughout November and December. Thank you to everyone who has given a donation and helped to make Christmas special for our young people!!
This year we had our own team of elf volunteers who coordinated and wrapped hundreds of presents for our young people and their children. We could not have got through all of this without them, thank you to Steph and her elf helpers!!
Christmas Tree donation:
A couple of our young people didn’t have Christmas tree’s or decorations to make their homes feel festive. We couldn’t let this pass by so we asked for donations of spare tree’s and decorations that were no longer being used and delivered them to our young people. This is Lewis’ tree that Janine helped him to erect and decorate. He was so pleased and sent everyone this picture afterwards to thank them. Thank you to our kind donors of festive cheer!!
Homemade Christmas card:
I was lucky enough to be made a homemade card from one of the young people that I support. It was so lovely to know that she thinks of me as much as I think of her and what kind words for her to write that just shows the relationship that Insight have with our young people, we are a family!
OUR CHRISTMAS DINNER 2019!!!
63 young people and their children from across Stockport, Trafford and Cheshire East came to celebrate their Christmas day together with their Insight family. The day was filled with fun, laughter, good food, games, festive cheer and a supportive environment where children were entertained and young people laughed and smiled joining in the festivities. Every year we grow and grow with more young people wanting to attend the fabulous day.
We will share more on our Christmas Day dinner over the coming weeks.
Thank you to Fi Insight for providing all the pictures and write up x
