Since 2013 Pure Insight has developed a range of projects alongside care leavers and partner organisations, including:
-

Platform 28 Training team - a young care leaver-led led team which provides training and consultancy to statutory partners.
-
Parent to parent support – a peer support group which helps care leavers who are also young parents.
-

MENTORING
This project sets out to support a vulnerable group of young people through a difficult transition period from leaving care to adult independence through a one-to-one mentoring programme over a committed 2 year period.
This programme is currently delivered over Stockport, Cheshire East, Trafford and Salford.
ANGELS TEAM
Many care leavers are also young parents and without access to a strong support network, making the transition to parenthood can be overwhelming.
Yet we know from first-hand experience that care leavers who are given the right support, at the right time, can develop the skills to become confident, competent parents.
PEER MENTORING
Our Peer mentoring programme matches older care leavers in one-on-one relationships to provide guidance for looked after children from age 8 to 16.
