At Pure Insight, we support care-experienced young people as they step into adulthood helping them build confidence, develop practical skills, strengthen relationships and take control of their futures. But we can’t do this alone.
There are lots of ways you can get involved with Pure Insight. Whether you have a few hours to give, want to fundraise, would like to volunteer your professional skills, or want your business to make a difference, you can help care-experienced young people build brighter futures.
Our growing community of volunteers, businesses and supporters helps create the connections, opportunities and practical support that young people need.
Volunteer with us
Our volunteer mentors play a vital role in helping young people build stability, confidence and fulfilling lives.
Mentors provide a reliable, trusted presence and help young people work towards their own goals from developing practical life skills and managing money to building confidence, relationships and connections in their community.
Our mentors typically give two to three hours a week for at least two years, and many mentoring relationships grow into lasting and meaningful connections.
You don’t need to be a professional or have lots of experience to become a mentor. We’re looking for people who are kind, reliable, non-judgemental and willing to learn. It’s a very flexible role and the time can be done whenever it suits.
We provide training, ongoing support and careful matching between mentors and young people. Matches are made thoughtfully, based on where you live, personality, humour and, where possible, shared interests.
As volunteer mentor Mike puts it: “It’s not about fixing everything overnight, but about being alongside someone as they work things out.”
Our volunteer impact in 2025–26
In 2025–26, 217 volunteers gave 22,268 hours of their time, and 137 young people were supported through our growing volunteer network.

Fundraise for us
Fundraising is a brilliant way to bring people together while helping care-experienced young people access the support, opportunities and relationships they need.
There are lots of ways to raise money and help us support more young people. You could organise a sponsored challenge, host a quiz or bake sale, run a fundraiser event at event, organise a community event, take part in a challenge with friends, or choose Pure Insight as your charity partner.
In 2025–26, our first large-scale fundraising challenge saw 18 staff, volunteers and local council workers take on a tandem skydive from 13,000 feet, raising £17,300 together.
