Supporting young people to thrive

At Pure Insight, we believe every care-experienced young person deserves the opportunity to feel supported, connected and confident as they navigate adulthood.

We walk alongside young people, building trusted relationships and providing the practical, emotional and specialist support they need to develop their strengths, achieve their goals and shape their own futures.

Our mission

Our mission is to support care-experienced young people to thrive as they step into adulthood. We empower young people to achieve their goals, build the skills and confidence they need for independent living, form lasting and dependable connections in their communities and speak up about what matters to them most.

Our values

Integrity

We build trust by being reliable, responsible and transparent. We are honest, authentic and open, so we can hold ourselves, others and the systems around us accountable and drive change.

Aspiration

We inspire young people to dream big and shape their own future, on their terms. We help them to create lasting connections and achieve their goals. As we walk alongside young people we give encouragement, care and respect for their unique circumstances.

Belonging

We create communities where everyone feels heard, included, safe and connected. People with lived experience of care are at the heart of everything we do, and we work together to co-create our provision.

Tenacity

We approach every situation with curiosity, kindness and an open mind. We listen without assumptions. We seek out new ways to work, develop innovative solutions and take action that bring lasting change.

The work we do

Pure Insight delivers a range of projects and services designed to support care-experienced young people as they navigate the transition into adulthood.

Mentoring

Our mentoring programme connects young people with a trusted adult who can offer consistent, long-term support. Mentors walk alongside young people, helping them build confidence, develop new skills, achieve their goals and create lasting connections.

Care-experienced young parents

We provide intensive, one-to-one practical and emotional support to care-experienced young parents and their children. Our support is shaped around each family, helping parents build confidence, strengthen their support networks and create the future they want for themselves and their children.

Mental health and emotional wellbeing

Our specialist wellbeing workers and counsellors provide safe, trusted spaces where young people can talk openly and be heard. Support is tailored to the individual, helping young people understand their emotions, build resilience and develop strategies that work for them.

Education, employment and training

Our specialist employment coaches work alongside young people to identify their strengths, interests and aspirations. We help them develop skills, explore opportunities and take practical steps towards education, training and employment.

Peer support and wellbeing activities

Our peer support and wellbeing activities give young people opportunities to connect with others, build friendships and try new things. From café nights and group activities to shared experiences, these spaces help create community, connection and belonging.

Change Champions

Our Change Champions programme puts lived experience at the heart of change. Young people use their experiences, ideas and voices to help shape services, influence decision makers and improve systems for other care-experienced young people.

Peer Action Collective (PAC)

Peer Action Collective brings young people together to research the issues that matter to them and turn what they learn into action. Young people lead the work, helping to influence change in their communities and create solutions shaped by their own experiences.

Every year, we measure the difference our work makes and, most importantly, listen to the young people we support to understand what matters to them.

Our latest Impact Report shares the stories, achievements and experiences behind our work over the past year. It showcases the incredible contribution of our volunteers, supporters and partners, and the positive change we can make when a community comes together.

In 2025–26, 748 care-experienced young people were supported by Pure Insight, with 92% of young people engaging with our support showing overall improvement across key areas of their lives.
