Supporting care leavers to thrive

Leaving care and stepping into adulthood can be a uniquely difficult starting point.

Suddenly, young people may be expected to manage a home, a budget, education or employment, relationships and their own wellbeing, often without the family support that others may take for granted.

Pure Insight is here to ensure young people don’t have to leave care alone

We support care-experienced young people in the North West of England to thrive as they step into adulthood. We walk alongside them, providing practical and emotional support, trusted relationships and opportunities to build confidence, develop skills, find belonging and shape their own futures.

From mentoring and mental health support to employment, education and training, parenting support, peer activities, emotional wellbeing and opportunities to influence change, we offer support that is shaped around each young person’s needs, experiences and aspirations.

Everyone’s journey is different. We meet young people where they are and walk alongside them for as long as they need us.

What we do

Building confidence and independence

We help young people develop the practical skills and confidence they need to live independently including managing money, maintaining a home and looking after their health and wellbeing.

Creating connection and belonging

Through mentoring, peer support, café nights and group activities, we help young people build friendships, community and lasting connections.

Nurturing mental health and wellbeing

Our specialist wellbeing workers, counsellors and mentors provide safe, trusted spaces where young people can talk, be heard and access support tailored to them.

Supporting young parents

We provide intensive, one-to-one practical and emotional support to care-experienced young parents and their children, helping families build confidence and flourish together.

Opening doors to education, employment and training

Our specialist employment coaches help young people identify their strengths and aspirations, develop skills and become ready for work, education and training.

Helping young people's voices be heard

Young people are at the heart of what we do. Through Change Champions and our participation and influencing work, they help shape services, influence decision makers and create change for others.
